Galaxy S-Series smartphones, undoubtedly, Samsung’s one of most anticipated devices – very much like Galaxy Note Series. Following the marvellous upgrade with Galaxy S9 series back in 2018 and Galaxy S10 lineup in 2019 with state-of-the-art and entirely-baked features such as Infinity-O design, an impressive number of cameras outback and most important of all, a “budget” variant for budget-conscious buyers.
In a couple of months, Samsung will be taking the wraps off of its upcoming Galaxy S11 (most probably in February 2020, as usual). In one of our previous posts, we have already discussed the latest rumours and leaks about Samsung Galaxy S11 but here is what else do we know including its official launch date, pricing details as well as onboard features.
When will it be out?
If Samsung keeps following the history, Samsung Galaxy S11 then would be debuted in late February 2020. And it’s most likely that Samsung Galaxy S11 release date will be somewhere in March 2020. A well-known source “SamMobile” has revealed an 18 February as an event date – but it appears too early to be pegging dates, for now. What do you say?
The phone is expected to be named “Picasso” internally, and according to Samsung Galaxy S11 rumours and leaks, there will be a total of three models – like Samsung Galaxy S10, S10 Plus and S10e (a budget variant).
How much will it cost?
It’s obvious that expecting a cheap phone would disappoint you as Samsung has been growing the price point gradually for its major flagship devices and it seems like there will be retreat sooner than later.
To recap, 2019’s Galaxy S10 arrived at £799 whereas S10+ rolled out at £899 and as far as Galaxy S10e is concerned, it went live with a price tag £669. All these price tags can be considered a starting point as we are yet to be confirmed what kinds of configurations Galaxy S11 will be equipped with.
What about Design?
Samsung appears to launch its upcoming Galaxy S11 with significant changes in terms of design as Samsung did with Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus. There have only been no solid Samsung Galaxy S11 Design Leaks yet, but we shouldn’t have to wait too long before we know whether or not the repetition is true. Based on reports from SamMobile, Galaxy S11 will hit shelves with five sensational colours -Blue, Black, Pink, White and the same Galaxy Note 10 “Aura” branding could be used. If it turns out to be true, these could be very flashy types of backing.
For some time now, an edge-to-edge, relatively bezel-free display has been the favourite ones of the development of smartphones which can position the front-facing camera on display without even needing to use a notch or motorised slide-out lens. And Samsung, with its upcoming Galaxy S11, might be the closest to achieving it, based on South Korean rumours.
Well, so many other smartphone manufacturers have already achieved a bezel-less display – thanks to their pop-up selfie cameras, Samsung is currently working on embedding a front camera sensor under the display. The actual size of the display is not yet known, but it’ll have a tallest 20:9 aspect ratio.
How Many Cameras will Galaxy S11 Hold?
The S10 has an exquisite tri-camera setup, but we are expecting it to be a significant part of S11 upgrade. According to Delhi Magazine, Galaxy S11 will have something mind-boggling in terms of cameras – calling it a “new beginning” and “substantial upgrade”.
However, The Elec (another source) has claimed that Samsung will be offering S11 with a 5x optical zoom camera – like Huawei P30 Pro. Furthermore, The Elec suggested that there will be a quad-camera configuration in addition to 5x telephoto sensor and a 3D ToF camera whereas a primary camera could weigh in a gigantic 108MPs. If it’s to be believed, the remaining camera will definitely be an ultra-wide sensor.
How about Power?
Samsung is most likely to use Exynos Chipset for its Galaxy S11 in Europe – based on 7-nanometer and Qualcomm Snapdragon Chipset for the United States and other countries in continent North America. The most recent and powerful Note 10 went live with Exynos 9825 Chipset – based on 7 nanometer process and fast a little as compared to S10’s Exynos 9820. Neither 9825, nor 9820, we are expecting to see another step up when Galaxy S11 arrives in stores.
The exact amount of RAM and mAh battery capacity both are not yet confirmed but SamMobile once again in terms of storage has revealed that Samsung Galaxy S11 will offer its audience the internal storage from 128GB to a hefty 1TB – depending on a model you choose.
That’s all folks, for now! The story will be extended as soon as online sources reveal more about Galaxy S11. In the meantime, the Latest Smartphone News can help you find out what’s exactly happening in the world of smartphones.
